Their work takes diverse and innovative forms and has had an impact on many levels.

We may be a small nation, but the Irish have produced more than its fair share of significant inventions and discoveries.

To help celebrate our rich cultural inheritance we have designed an inexpensive, instant downloadable Irish Descendant Certificate that can be purchased for oneself or as a gift for another person. These Certificates can be personalised with a Family Name or an Individual Persons Name.

The purpose of these Certificates is to act as a reminder of of Irish ancestry, a visual display of our feelings towards Ireland. It’s a gift that will keep on giving as people discover more about their Irish Heritage.

In particular, when given to a young person, maybe as a Christening or birthday gift; this is a gift that will always ignite the child’s imagination and spark their search for knowledge about their Irish background. You are giving them a gift they will have for life ... The gift of being proud of their Irish background.

Our Proud Irish Heritage Certificates

There are two Certificates to choose from.
One is a Family Name Certificate e.g. The Kelly Family….
The other is an Individual Person Certificate e.g. Mary Kelly….

Family Name Certificate

This Certificate allows you to enter the name of a family as descendants of Irish Ancestors.

It acknowledges that this family has the entitlement as persons of Irish ancestry, to champion and celebrate their Irish culture and their proud Irish heritage.

This beautifully designed certificate would sit proudly in the family home, reminding those that dwell there that they are all part of a big worldwide Irish family.

Family Name Certificate

Individual Person Certificate

On this Certificate you can enter the name of an individual as a descendant of Irish Ancestors.

This certificate recognises the person named as having the birthright as a person of Irish ancestry, to celebrate their Irish culture and their proud Irish heritage.

This certificate will always be a reminder to the person named that they are part of Ireland’s story and to respect the memory of our ancestors, and to the Irish legacy they bequeathed us.

Individual Person Certificate

Wording from the Constitution of Ireland

The certificate includes wording from the Irish Constitution that recognises the uniqueness of the historic Irish diaspora and the enduring connection they have with Ireland generation after generation.

The Irish diaspora refers to ethnic Irish people and their descendants who live outside the island of Ireland. Since the 1700’s between 9 and 10 million people born in Ireland have emigrated.

Certificate Design

The design of the certificate is influenced by Irish art from throughout the ages. From the the pre-history times’ symbols found at the megalithic tomb at Newgrange (3300 BC) to the beautiful illuminated books from the monasteries, such as the Book of Kells.

There are a choice of borders, again inspired by the Book of Kells, Celtic knotwork, and symbols of Ireland. You can also choose from a selection of Certificate headings and page backgrounds. These all make the Certificate more personal.

The fonts are similar found in the great illuminated Irish books and manuscripts.

The sizes of the Certificate (8″ x 10″ and 16″ x 20″) is especially chosen to fit standard picture frame sizes, thus making finding the right frame easier to find locally, cheaper and you have a greater choice.

The Certificate Plaque doesn’t require framing. Its a gold color metal plate mounted onto a wood base. It can be wall hung or desk displayed.

Illuminated Art

The illuminated manuscripts of Ireland, especially the Book of Kells inspired some of the borders and text styles on the Certificate.

The Shamrock

Long associated with Ireland, the Shamrock appears in borders and text dividers throughout the Certificate.

The country of Ireland or Eire is illustrated on the Certificate on the bottom between two shamrock dividers.

Irish Script

The Certificate is written in part with an Insular script – a medieval script type associated with Irish Manuscripts.

Instant Download Certificate

If you have chosen the Instantly Downloaded Certificate, you can design your Certificate online with our software. You can choose between different borders, headings and page backgrounds.

You will also enter the Family’s or Individual’s name for whom the Certificate is for. You can enter your Irish Ancestors name and details if you know them.

When you are happy with your design a link to your downloadable Certificate will be available on the confirmation page after you complete your purchase.

This is a digital file that you can print on your home printer or at your local print service. You do not receive a physical document from us.

As you are printing the Certificate yourself you can print multiple copies as you need them.

Physcial Certificate Plaque

If you have chosen the Certificate Plaque, you can design your Certificate online with our software. You can choose between different borders, headings and page backgrounds.

You will also enter the Family’s or Individual’s name for whom the Certificate is for. You can enter your Irish Ancestors name and details if you know them.

When we receive your order, we will make your personalized Plaque Certificate.

We use a special print process to embed your design into a metal plate. That plate is mounted onto a wooden base. On the back of the plaque are keyhole cuts that makes it easy to hang your Certificate Plaque.

Once we receive your order we will send your item out by Registered Post within 24 hours. (Normal postal delivery time to most countries is 5-10 days).
